This installer is unsigned. Windows may show an unknown-publisher or unrecognized-app warning. Only download it from tabcub.com and continue only if you trust this download. Never disable antivirus or Windows security. If Windows reports malware, your organization blocks it, or there is no Run anyway option, stop and contact support.
This is an early-access beta, tested on one Windows/Chrome setup—not a finished or tamper-proof parental-control product. It supports exposed browser address bars and titles, not every app or the whole device. Start with a test Windows account and keep administrator recovery available.

Download and install in a few steps
Click the download button above, then open TabCub-Desktop-0.4.3-beta.1-Setup.exe from your Downloads folder.
If you see Windows protected your PC, click More info. Check that the app name matches the installer above. Only if you trust this download from tabcub.com, click Run anyway, if offered. This is a one-time choice—not a safety guarantee.
A parent or the computer’s administrator approves the Windows prompt. Follow the installer to finish.
Open TabCub Desktop on the student’s Windows account. Sign in, then select Allow browser checks in Your mission.
Create a Family or Teacher code and enter it on the guide’s phone at tabcub.com. Send a mission and keep a supported browser in the foreground to try it.
If the app says Recovery pause: blocking and alerts are off, click End recovery pause. The administrator then clicks the same button in the recovery window and confirms. Return to TabCub; no reset or new pairing is needed. Guardian can stay off.

Get connected
Install TabCub with the device owner’s permission. Installing does not automatically enable monitoring or Guardian.
On the student’s Windows account, open TabCub, sign in, and explicitly allow browser checks. For optional Guardian protection, use a separate standard student account and keep the parent’s administrator password private.
Create a Family or Teacher code. On the guide’s phone, open tabcub.com, sign in, choose the matching mode, and enter that code.
Send a mission, then check a related and unrelated page. Confirmed unrelated browsing shares a ten-second allowance across tabs/windows; refreshing a locked URL does not clear its lock in that mission. Fifteen seconds of confirmed related work restores the allowance.
Optional: the parent opens TabCub Administrator recovery from Windows Start, approves the Windows administrator prompt, selects the standard student account, and explicitly enables Guardian. Return to the student app and wait for Protected settings: ready.
Guardian supervises one local console account. Other Windows accounts, inaccessible or unsupported browsers, other apps, background audio, and administrator access are outside this beta’s protection.
You keep a way back.
Parent pause: permits personal use while the trusted connection remains. Sign-out stays restricted until guides forget the device or an administrator uses recovery.
Administrator recovery: available locally through Windows Start. Emergency pause releases focus sheets for 15 minutes. Disable Guardian or remove its service for a lasting release; accounts are retained.
After an update or reinstall: a previous recovery pause may still be active. Choose End recovery pause in administrator recovery to resume browser checks without turning Guardian on. This keeps your account, mission and phone links.
Unreadable saved sign-in: click Repair saved sign-in in TabCub. A Windows administrator confirms repair for the account shown. Encrypted backups are kept automatically—no file renaming needed. Sign in and reconnect your guide afterward; your online subscription stays unchanged. Guardian must be explicitly enabled again.
Before updating or uninstalling: if Guardian is installed, remove its service using administrator recovery, then close TabCub. If Guardian is not installed, just close TabCub. Use Windows Settings → Apps to uninstall. Do not simply delete the installation folder.
No automatic updates yet: return to this page for future releases. The beta does not silently install new versions.
Browser checks read the foreground browser’s exposed address and title locally. They do not record screenshots, passwords, or keystrokes. Connected guides receive focus events, titles/domains, requests, and messages. The beta uses local matching rules, which can make mistakes.
