Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use TabCub. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use. A Family or Teacher user must have permission to supervise or manage the student browser they connect.

Pairing a device without the device user’s knowledge or without legal authority is prohibited. TabCub is a focus-support tool, not covert surveillance software.

TabCub Personal provides local mission, focus-companion, page classification, and Focus Lock features. TabCub Guide adds remote Family and Teacher missions, event alerts, access requests, timed approvals, messaging, notifications, and trusted-device reconnection. Automated classification can make mistakes, and users remain responsible for their choices and supervision decisions.

The Windows desktop version is currently an unsigned public beta. It is not full-device or tamper-proof protection; it checks supported foreground browser contexts and can miss or misclassify activity. Windows may warn about the unsigned installer. Use it only with the device owner’s permission, keep local administrator recovery available, and review the setup and limitations on the Windows beta page. Existing subscription terms remain unchanged.

Access to Personal, Family, and Teacher modes requires a TabCub subscription. Eligible new accounts receive one three-day free trial. Stripe collects a payment method at checkout, and the subscription automatically becomes $2.99 USD per month when the trial ends unless it is cancelled first. The renewal price and timing are shown before checkout is confirmed. Taxes may be added where required.

By starting the trial, you authorize Stripe to charge the selected payment method after the trial and at each monthly renewal. Trial eligibility is limited to one trial per account and may be denied for duplicate, abusive, or previously subscribed accounts. We may change future pricing with reasonable advance notice; a change applies no earlier than the next renewal permitted by applicable law.

You may cancel through the Stripe customer portal at any time. If you cancel during the trial, access continues through the trial end and the first monthly charge is avoided. After a paid renewal, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and TabCub remains available until then. Charges are non-refundable and are not prorated for partial periods, except where applicable law requires otherwise. The full policy is available on the Refund Policy page.

You agree not to:

• Use TabCub to violate privacy, education, employment, child-safety, or other laws.
• Connect to, monitor, or control a device without permission or legal authority.
• Attempt to bypass security, obtain another user’s tokens, disrupt the service, or reverse engineer protected service components except where law expressly permits.
• Use messages to harass, threaten, exploit, or share unlawful content.
• Resell the service or use automated traffic that harms TabCub or other users.

Passwords, account sessions, pairing codes, trusted-device links, and browser tokens must be kept secure. You are responsible for activity from devices you authorize and for promptly signing out, pausing, or removing devices you no longer control. Do not share an account with someone who is not authorized to use its linked devices. Contact support.tabcub@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

TabCub and its software, branding, characters, design, and service content are owned by TabCub or its licensors. Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use TabCub for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of mission text and messages you provide and grant TabCub permission to process them only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service.

The Privacy Policy explains how TabCub handles local browsing context, Guide Mode events, messages, notifications, and billing records. By using TabCub, you acknowledge those practices.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features to improve safety, reliability, or compliance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may suspend access for abuse, security risk, nonpayment, or a material violation of these terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TabCub is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. TabCub does not guarantee academic performance, perfect classification, or prevention of every distraction.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TabCub will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be identified by a new “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, notice in TabCub. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law. Questions can be sent to support.tabcub@gmail.com.
